Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. She began training in kickboxing boxing wrestling and BJJ before making her amateur debut at age 18, at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd went on an impressive 3 fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In each of the three bouts she beat her opponent right in the first round. She returned to WCFC in order to defeat Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen was already defeated Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia outclassed Aspen and defeated her via an unanimous vote to remove a blemish on Ladd's amateur record. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her amateur record from 8-1 to 8-1. Aspen made her pro debut in 2015 after signing as a player with Invicta FC. Invicta fight Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta 2011 and won via the first round TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and prevailed via armbar submission during the second round. Aspen used her superior wrestling skills to take down McGill and then ended the fight with a third-round TKO(elbows and punches). The next fight was against Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18 in the weight class of catchweight(138.1lb) because Ladd was unable to reach the weight limit. Aspen defeated Hoy and finished her in the second round via TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a an unanimous decision. Aspen Ladd's UFC debut was on UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina with a combination of ground and pound. She won the TKO round at the end of the second. Her next fight, against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd took over Evinger's fight following the opening round. Also, she was awarded an extra bonus for her performance that night. Her first major fight at the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos and. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Ladd won the fight of the night bonus, after both fighters had an intense back and forth battle. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd within 16 seconds of the fight, breaking the streak of winning. The third time she fought on UFC at ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. In her most recent fight with the UFC she was a part of Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 in a rematch fight. It was a unanimous decision against her.
