Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue E. Taylor Aunjanue E. Taylor, an American producer and actor, has been known for her roles in the movie Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She is a graduate of the BA in African-American Studies and an MFA from Tisch School of Arts New York University. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actor also known as producer and director. She is employed in film and television. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in a number of television series and independent and mainstream films. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character in ABC's Quantico. On BET's massive show The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. She did not only receive critical acclaim for her character, she also received a few awards and nominations. Her professional acting debut with the character Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. The actress has appeared in Broadway as a part of Come and Gone, A Winter's Tale, Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted through her roles on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. For her work on television she's received praise for her performance as a regular character on ABC's police drama High Incident.
